Last 8th of February in 2017, the Parliament approved the sixth book, the last one which is part of the Catalan regulation of the Civil Code, which will enter into force on the first of January in 2018, given that the obligations and agreements were the only aspects in the private range which did not have an own regulation and it was compulsory to apply the Spanish Civil Code. So, from this point on the Spanish regulation will apply alternatively.

Some of the novelties that the legislation establishes are that the property buyer could give up the trade and get back the deposit as long as any bank deny funding and also includes an action for revocation as an alternative to mortgages and “urban exploitation” that consists in renting spaces in exchange for fixing and taking care of the property.
