A recent Sentence of the Catalan Court of Justice has considered that in vitro fertilization must be put on the same level than pregnancy, according to a dismissal where a woman was fired because the employer considered that she was reducing her efficiency at work. So, the Sentence claimed that the firing was invalid because the main reason why she was fired is because of the absences.

The judgment takes a step forward in order to improve gender equality and guarantee that all these women don’t faced difficulties when deciding to get pregnant taking into account the absences that the procedure means.
